3. To build community with other Christian believers.
Target Age Group:
Lesson plans will be targeted towards the preschool and early education age group (4K- grade 3), but all ages are welcome and adaptations can be made to accommodate higher and lower levels of learning as needed.
Expectations:
1. Regular attendance ( at least once a month)
2. Kindness and respect towards one another
3. Willingness to share teaching responsibilities on a rotating schedule
4. Respectful use of facility
5. The parents/caregivers will be responsible for ensuring that these expectations are met
Lesson Plans:
We have chosen to begin by working through the Bible Busy Binder Lessons Volume 1 by Arrows and Applesauce for the next 10 weeks. We will then shift to a unit on the season of Advent for the remaining 3 weeks of the year. (we will not meet Nov 23, Dec 21, or Dec 28). At the end of the year, we will evaluate how the group wants to move forward into 2024.
Cost:
You may purchase the entire lesson plans and print them for yourself, or have us print them for you each week. Please let us know if you plan on coming each week so that we can have enough printed for each child. If you do not purchase the lesson plans yourself, we ask that you please donate $35 per family for printing and supplies

Lowcountry High School Homeschoolers

Location:

Low Country

Description:

About:
"Lowcountry High School Homeschoolers is a forum for active homeschooling high school families in Mount Pleasant and the surrounding Charleston area.
This group is for high school social outings and building friendships.
It is also for the encouragement, support and ideas of homeschooling families with high school age students.
The focus for all events, outings, parties, classes etc...will be for high school age students (13-17 years old).
We recognize many families have younger siblings, and they are invited to attend group events; however the main goal and focus of this group is to build friendships for high school age students. Please keep this in mind when considering bringing a younger student to any event.
We welcome you to share ideas and/or schedule events that may be of interest to other high school students and families.
We are seeking active participation (online and in-person) for the benefit of the group. Members who remain inactive after six months will be automatically removed.
Please note, we have many families here with different beliefs. No political or religious discussions will be tolerated at any time. There are groups for multiple, hot-button topics - this group is not it.
When you read something you disagree with, you have three choices: (1) keep scrolling (2) report the post to one of the Admins, if you feel it is a violation of group policy (3) Leave the group
Those are the only options, as we strive for a drama free atmosphere. Please stay on-topic. The topic is homeschooling. There will be zero tolerance for violating these terms.
Please, no requests for financial support of any kind - this includes, but is not limited to: Go Fund Me, Kickstarter, and other fundraisers.
This is not a forum for sales of any kind (including, but not limited to curriculum). There are multiple forums for selling/buying items, please direct yourself to these groups.
When sharing our teen group with your friends, please refrain from directly inviting them to join the group. Doing this sends a blank 'Request to Join' notice, meaning the three group questions are left unanswered and they will be automatically declined.
The group questions are in place to help protect the group from trolls and spammers. All membership requests made by other people, will be automatically declined.
Instead, simply copy and paste the group link and send that to your friend(s). Then they can decide if they would like to join or not.
The Administrators reserve the right to remove anyone from this group, who is not playing nicely with others. 😉 Keep it civil, kind, and loving, or leave.
**These community guidelines can be amended at any time. Violators can be removed from the group without warning.** "

Lowcountry Homeschool Park Days

Location:

Low Country

Description:

We are a Book Club for homeschoolers in and around the Low Country area. We have readers of all ages in our group! We read and discuss books that are available for free in the library or readable on a free book/library app. We read paper books in hand or the digital version, but do not incorporate audio books. Although you're welcome to listen to the audio version when available, we will choose books that have been printed.
Our aim is to foster the love of reading and discussing the adventures we read about in our group. For children who may be shy, intense participation is not necessary. Our discussions are moderated so that everyone feels like they can give their opinion and understand the opinions of others. Discussions are moderated among the group so even quiet club members can feel like they can share their opinions if they'd like to. What brings us together is our love of stories!
We don't like to hold a mentality that any child is ahead or behind in reading, judging based on arbitrary standards. Children are just reading at the level they are. However, if your child is struggling, and feels like they need help, we can help! Either through simple tutoring or finding professional help, we can meet children where they are to help them enjoy their time in our book club. We are a welcome place for all levels of reading, and participation in the group will not be dependent upon reading ability.
Participation in group is largely free. There may be times when our activities cost extra money to create, and donations will be accepted. Donations will go towards the cost of activities for our club, but we aim to keep this cost to a minimum, so we can include as many people as possible. Everything will be discussed ahead of time, so there will be no surprises
